How to set a TikTok audio as a ringtone
That sound you can't get out of your head? Turn it into your ringtone, text tone, or alarm in about five minutes. This guide covers both iPhone and Android, starting with the part most tutorials skip: getting a clean MP3 of the TikTok audio in the first place.
Step 1 — Save the TikTok audio with Zoned
You need a clean MP3 file, not a screen recording or a watermarked converter download. Zoned extracts the original audio from any TikTok link, with no voiceovers and no "follow our channel" outro.
- 1In the TikTok app, tap Share on the video and choose Copy link.
- 2Open Zoned and paste the link (or share directly to Zoned on Android). The audio appears in your library in a few seconds, titled and ready.
- 3On Zoned Pro, tap the track menu → Download to save the MP3 to your device.
Step 2a — Set it as a ringtone on iPhone
iOS doesn't let you set arbitrary MP3 files as ringtones directly — you route through GarageBand. It's free from the App Store.
- 1In the Files app, find the MP3 you downloaded from Zoned (look in "Downloads" or "On My iPhone").
- 2Open GarageBand → new Audio Recorder project → tap the track view button (rows icon) → tap the loop icon (top right).
- 3Under Files, tap Browse items from Files and pick the Zoned MP3. Drag it onto the track timeline.
- 4Trim it to 30 seconds or less. Tap the down-arrow menu → My Songs. Long-press the new song → Share → Ringtone.
- 5Tap Export, then Use sound as… → Standard Ringtone. Done — it appears in Settings → Sounds & Haptics → Ringtone.
Step 2b — Set it as a ringtone on Android
Android is dramatically simpler — no extra app required on most phones.
- 1Open the Files app (or "My Files" on Samsung) and locate the MP3 you downloaded from Zoned.
- 2Long-press the file → Set as → Ringtone(or Phone ringtone on Samsung).
- 3To assign it to one contact, open the contact → menu (⋮) → Set ringtone → pick the file.
If "Set as ringtone" doesn't appear, move the file into the /Ringtones folder using Files, then pick it from Settings → Sound & vibration → Phone ringtone.
Use it as an alarm or text tone
- iPhone alarm: after the GarageBand export, the tone shows under Clock → Alarm → Sound.
- iPhone text tone: in GarageBand share, pick Text Tone instead of Standard Ringtone.
- Android alarm/notification: long-press → Set as → Alarm sound / Notification sound.
